I do think President Biden is doing the "outreach to Republicans" thing as a matter of form. Perhaps at some point some Republicans will sign on. In the meantime it's also clear he's mobilized to operate as if none will join him. And by the way, although we can say things as we wish, there is no need to gratuitously ramp up the temperature in the comments we produce.
I’ve been neglecting the efforts of all the great writers on Medium and not responding to the comments people make. The reason is because of the need I feel to devote all my physical and spiritual resources to defeating Trumpism. So I’ve been texting and working with my family to get people to vote. If we succeed, we can get back to the many real, good-faith disagreements we have and sort them out the way civil and public-spirited people ought to.
